About us:
McAtee Psychology is a collaborative psychology practice in SW Calgary, specializing in the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders and supporting neurodivergence in children and adults. Our practice is looking for a Calgary-based Registered Psychologist or Social Worker specializing in family counseling, with opportunities to also provide individual and couples counseling.
Our ideal candidate is a Registered Psychologist or Social Worker with formal training in family counselling (e.g., ABFT), who will work with the entire family unit, providing counseling that addresses the dynamics and needs of all members as a cohesive group. About The Role:
Your primary area of practice will focus on family counselling, with the option to provide individual and couples counselling. McAtee Psychology specializes in working with neurodivergent clients, and you will be working with individuals with autism and/or other neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.
As a member of a private practice, you will need to be active in working with our marketing team to promote your services and drive the growth of your caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing family counselling as a primary service
- Offering couples and individual counselling as secondary services
- Maintaining a consistent schedule with evening availability
- Collaborating with internal clinicians to support clients
- Working with the marketing team to promote your services and build your caseload
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Full or Provisional Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- Minimum 15 hours per week, with evening availability
- 2 or more years of experience working with families (or individuals if offering individual sessions)
- Candidates with experience working with neurodivergent clients and/or training in evidence-based approaches like ABFT, SFT, FFT, or CFT will be prioritized
