Women's Mental Health Specialist
McAtee Psychology is a collaborative psychology practice in SW Calgary, providing counseling and assessment services to neurotypical and neurodivergent children, teens, and adults. We are currently looking for a Calgary-based Registered Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, or Registered Social Worker to grow our Women’s Health Services.
Our ideal candidate has experience supporting individuals through issues such as reproductive and perinatal mental health, fertility and infertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, menopause, menstrual-related mood concerns, caregiving stress, and identity transitions across the lifespan. We’re seeking someone who values collaborative care, is passionate about supporting women’s mental health, and enjoys working alongside a supportive internal team and other local professionals.

About The Role:
In your role as a therapist with a special interest in women’s health, your primary focus will be providing individual counseling and parenting support to women across the lifespan. This includes supporting clients through life transitions and challenges such as fertility and infertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, parenting stress, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, menopause and perimenopause, menstrual-related mood concerns (e.g., PMDD), and issues related to sexual health, body image, and identity.
You will be working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients, with the opportunity to develop a caseload that reflects your clinical interests and areas of expertise. As a member of a private practice, you will also play an active role in working with our marketing and leadership team to grow awareness of your services and build a sustainable caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting individual counselling and parent consultation and strategies
- Maintaining morning and afternoon availability for counselling services
- Working with the marketing team to promote your services and build your caseload
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all services provided by McAtee Psychology
- Providing ideas on how to enhance the counselling process ideas to enhance the delivery and accessibility of women’s health services
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Family and Couples Therapy, or a related field.
- Provisional or Full Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP)
- Current registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years working with females in a therapeutic setting
- Training and experience implementing multiple evidence-based approaches such as DBT, ACT, IFS, SFBT, EMDR and/or CBT.
